Pay Back?

It has been a while since I blogged--getting ready for my numerous Halloween activities kep tme busy. That has slowed down now, and I have many issues on my mind at present.

Over the weekend I had a chance to chat with a woman who was interested in ghosts and had had some intuitive experiences. When I told her that I thought all of us go through a "cleansing/letting go" period after death, she became excited. "Oh, I can't wait," she responded. I asked why she wanted to transition into ghosthood and she said there are so many people that she wants to haunt. Did that mean "hurt?" I wondered. I quickly gave her the no-no look. "You don't want to do that," I said. "It is the desire for revenge or pay-back of some kind that can keep an individual (either in-body or out, dead) rooted in low planes of existence. When we have been released into spirit, we need to want to move forward. A friend of mine just checked in with me, in a vivid dream, to smilingly tgell me that she just got out of "the shower," and it has only been about four years since she died.

Aside from the karmic burdens that one attracts, desiring revenge, I told her, she won't be able to leave the harshness of the earth atmosphere until she can let it ALL go. And then, karmically, she is likely to have to spend time in a relationship with that soul when she returns again to that body. "Would you like to return as that individual's child?" I asked. She frowned, now rethinking the matter.

I believe it is the departed soul who is haunted, still tied to the unresolved issues that so concerned them in life. Those who worshipped their body and just the physical side of life (to the detriment of their soul or spiritual side) seldom have a close vibration to the Creator when passing over. They may have attended a church but never attempted to LIVE the principles of their religion (most of which teach love, humility and forgiveness--now do you see why? why we need to get this release work done while we still can, in the body?). All that remains then, once he or she has gone back into their spiritual essence is the body. And, being dead, it is buried six feet under if not cremated. Hard to worship and venerate in that condition. I think this is often a cause of a horrible stink that ghosts occasionally send into our plane--they just recognized how rotten their lifestyle was. And, for those who have no "heaven" to aspire to, there is only the lonely, cold watch-keeping at the grave after death--at least until they look up and see the "light people" who have gathered to lead them onward and upward.

Forgiving is hard, I know that from abundant experience. But you really don't want to spend much time in the spirit world, still trying to make somene else "pay."
